Nature Walk In Ngorongoro

A nature walk is a way to get out of the usual safari vehicle game drive and get to explore this thrilling crater on foot. There are 3 beautiful major trekking trails in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, which lead to different attractions and offer great scenic views. They include:

Empakai Crater: This full-day hike explores the dense forest that surrounds the Crater walls. Observe impressive strangler fig trees and witness a fantastic array of birdlife. A hearty picnic lunch is enjoyed along the way.

Ngorongoro Crater: This is a 2½ hour late afternoon excursion on the western rim of the Ngorongoro Crater along a well-used Maasai trail. This is one way to get out of the safari vehicle and explore the magnificent crater on foot.

Olmoti Crater Walk to Munge Waterfalls: This activity takes around 1:30 hours and leads to one of the most picturesque waterfalls inside the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Hike up the rim of the olmoti crater as you explore the marsh near the falls, have spectacular views of the Munge waterfalls. Then descend to the floor and walk to the point where the gorge begins, where the water drops more than 30 m through a series of stages.
